چکیده
Thin ion-selective membrane films deposited on solid electrode substrate are useful tools to study ion transfer processes. This is because the experimental conditions may be chosen such that diffusion processes within and contacting aqueous solution not rate limiting. In an ideal case, therefore, equilibrium considerations used describe resulting voltammograms. For example, electrochemical oxidation of electrically neutral redox molecule in results a cationic oxidized form. To preserve electroneutrality, cation transferred out into solution, freeing cation-exchanger become counterion molecule. work describes model system agrees well with thermodynamic theory, using lipophilic (1-dodecyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4-yl)ferrocene as monovalent reference for transfer. The full peak width at half maximum was found 0.110 V, agreement current proportional scan supporting thin layer behavior. charge passed during voltammetric related ion-exchanger concentration available extraction function potential. Subtraction potential from one each increment gave change ion-to-electron transducer. application, polymeric transducing poly(3-octylthiophene) (POT) film upon characterized. A non-linear potential–charge curve observed, contrast earlier assumptions.

Pre-Polarized Hydrophobic Conducting Polymer Solid-Contact Ion-Selective Electrodes with Improved Potential Reproducibility.
Electrically conducting polymers (ECPs) are one of the most popular types of materials to interface ion-selective membranes (ISMs) with electron-conducting substrates to construct solid-contact ion-selective electrodes (SCISEs). For optimal ion-to-electron transduction and potential stability, the p-doped ECPs with low oxidation potentials such as PPy need to be generally in their conducting fo...

Voltammetric ion-selective micropipet electrodes for use in scanning electrochemical microscopy (SECM) for detection of potassium ion were fabricated. These used pulled borosilicate capillaries with tip orifice radii of 0.7-20 microm with silanized inner walls filled with a solution of 10 mM valinomycin and 10 mM ETH 500 in dichloroethane. The electrodes were characterized by determining the st...

متن کاملCharge transfer kinetics at the solid-solid interface in porous electrodes.
Interfacial charge transfer is widely assumed to obey the Butler-Volmer kinetics. For certain liquid-solid interfaces, the Marcus-Hush-Chidsey theory is more accurate and predictive, but it has not been applied to porous electrodes. Here we report a simple method to extract the charge transfer rates in carbon-coated LiFePO4 porous electrodes from chronoamperometry experiments, obtaining curved ...
